Jocelyn Ludlow earns international credential in healthcare simulation

Elite certification awarded for contributions to field, performance as educator

Jocelyn Ludlow, UC Irvine associate clinical professor and director of simulation in the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing, has been granted a prestigious Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced credential. This elite international certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, is awarded to professionals recognized for their significant contributions to the field and performance as educators. Unique in its approach, the CHSE-A requires candidates to compile a detailed portfolio highlighting their leadership, mentorship, self-reflection, ongoing professional development and active engagement with the global healthcare simulation community beyond their routine job responsibilities. Submissions are thoroughly evaluated according to a stringent peer-review process in accordance with established professional standards. “This achievement affirms my commitment to advancing healthcare education through simulation, supporting learners at all levels and improving patient outcomes,” Ludlow said.
